Display the same image on two monitor

Sun Aug 12, 2018 10:38 pm

Hi everyone !

I would like to display the video of a camera on two (ideally around 3.2") screens simultaneously (so basically they display the same image at the same time). I already own the camera but I can't figure how I could achieve that. Maybe I could solder the data pins of two display ? Honestly I have no idea.

I don't have a lot of space in my application so HDMI-free is preferable. Anyway any solution will be fine. In addition could you guys advise me on the monitors to buy? (as I said ideally around 3.2inches and no-touch?)

Thank you, a new Raspi User

I used two 2.2" displays with ili9341 SPI controller (no touch), you can get 2.8" version as well:

You can find all information needed in that thread. As the photo shows, displays are /dev/fb1 and /dev/fb2. You can use tee element in gstreamer pipeline to duplicate your video and send one to each display (with fbdevsink).
