SSH over Putty not working

Sat Jul 28, 2018 6:12 pm

I am trying to login to Pi Zero W over SSH through Putty.
I have done the required settings in the cmdline.txt, config.txt files. Also, add a blank file by name "ssh" on the microSD card.
Then, the Pi Zero W got detected as an ethernet gadget in "Network and Sharing Center" on my win 7 PC.
I shared my Wireless Connection with the Ethernet Gadget "Local Area Connection".
After installing bonjour, I was able to gain access to Pi Zero W through Putty with the 'rpizerow.local' hostname.
I logged into using the 'pi' username and password. Then, I left my PC to sleep for sometime.

Upon my return, I could not access it through Putty with the 'rpizerow.local' hostname.
I can see that the device is detected in my control panel as "USB Ethernet/RNDIS gadget".
But, under "Network adapters", the RNDIS device is shown as unplugged even though it is plugged in.
I deleted the 'sshhostkeys' stored by Putty in regedit.
I also restarting my PC, replaced the USB cable but to no avail. The problem persists and I am not able to login to my Pi Zero W.
Pl. help.
