Hello , I'm looking for some guidance on a vending machine project where I want to use a raspberry pi to monitor a vending machine's product availability. The vending machine has 24 slots and I will have sensors in each slot to monitor if there is a product offering available in a slot. When something is bought, I want to update a website that represents the vending machine's product inventory available, so the person looking after the stocking of the vending machine can go to the website and see the inventory situation and if they need to go and restock. I was hoping to make the website with a multisite platform such as woo commerce with wordpress. I'm not sure if the raspberry pi can even do this part or if I need some special programming interface or software that allows a raspberry pi to sign into a website and adjust the inventory as it is bought out of the machine. As well it would be nice to send an email alerting the stock manager of a sale. Anyone point me in the right direction?
