Bag for display and accessories?

Thu Jul 05, 2018 6:41 pm

I was wondering if there is a bag/pouch recommendation that could hold a RPI with display and possibly the "extras" like cables and power supply in a seperate compartment without too much play?

For my "travel alarm" (RPF 7" touchscreen, Pi2Bv1.1, a couple of USB bits, and a case), I got my wife to make a bag. We used one of the pieces of packing foam to protect the screen. The bag has a soft lining to prevent scratches. The speakers fit in a 1 gallon ziplock and the keyboard (built in trackball) goes loose.

This idea comes from what she did several years ago...a hard fabric cover with a soft lining, a pocket in the front to hold a piece of plywood, and elastic in the bottom. It fits over a monitor for transport. The plywood is cut to the size of the frame, so the LCD screen is fully protected. We refer to such a device as a "monitor cozy".
