BCM2708FB TFT 3.5 Display Freeze

Hi,

My PI3 has a problem.

I was trying to to turn off the 3.5 display and some google page told me to use RASPI Update (because only that way i would turn off the display by command line) and after that my 3.5 display started to show a blank screen. I tried to reinstall the driver and it solved the blank problem, but now I only got the screen error (on attached image)
When I use SSH or HDMI it works, but using only the 3.5 display I get the error.

ps.: I also tried to change my /boot/config.txt but nothing has happened. Now my config.txt it's blank, just the file, in a alternative to reset everything...but nothings changed as well.

ps2.: (haha) I would like not to reinstall raspbian, because i did a lot of settings and to tell the truth i don't remember all of them.

I know my answer is sooooo late, but at least, there is an answer could help others who face the same issue.

regarding your issue, the good news is even with the issue that you have with your screen, still, you can access your raspberry pi throw ssh and VNC.

As I am facing the same issue that you faced, I am still looking for a solution for my screen 3.5 that has exactly as you described. So I hope someone comes up with an idea that solves the issue with no involving the reinstallation of my raspberry pi.

Also, you can run the code LCD35-htmi to make the htmi works again

UPDATE :
Finally, I found the solution :
Use this code: https://github.com/waveshare/LCD-show
and run first LCD32C-show then after the reboot run LCD35-show


it works for me
