Anyone planning a sound I/O add-on for the P5 connector?

Hi! I've sort of asked this question before, in passing, since the brilliant news of the new board design.
However, as no-one noticed I was asking, I felt it was time to be more direct.
I need a cheap, working sound input to run the 'soundmodem' package for AX25 packet tones (1200\2200Hz).
I have tried two examples of the same USB soundcard using Cmedia chipset from PCWorld but they died after about a week each.
Sorry I can't give lsusb output as they are both dead, so am looking for something more reliable than usb soundcards.
Please please pretty please can someone design a sound I/O board for the P5 connector?
It has been my custom to use Xeyes
