RPi reseller pack / promo materials etc

Thu Jun 07, 2018 3:58 pm

Hi

We have just set up a small village computer shop.

There are at least 3 schools in the area and because of this we want to resell the pi.

Are there any promo materials or a pack that can be purchased [posters etc]

Thanks

Apparently not.

What are other people doing - creating their own I guess.

Assume its OK to use the logo graphics?

You may do better contacting the Foundation directly (https://www.raspberrypi.org/contact/). RPF/RPT whilst active on the forums may not see every post.

I did here is the reply!

"You can find a list of distributors on our website. Resellers that chose to do so are buying the Raspberry Pi in bulk from them (which reduces shipping costs to nearly nothing) and selling on. You do not need any special license to resell, and they are very happy to sell on to resellers. Unfortunately, because of the way the pricing model (and the fact that we are a charity) works, you will have to buy in very large bulk before you will qualify for any bulk discount – what most resellers are doing is using it as a way to sell high-margin peripherals and so on.

We do not have a reseller media kit. "

Which seems odd to me? Maybe there is a missed opportunity here?

Probably not, since one of the larger problems is making enough Pis to keep up with demand.
