Have 2 Pis' a 3 and 3 B+ one boots other doesn't

Fri Jun 01, 2018 2:37 pm

So I have two units a 3 and a 3 B+

I installed android 7.1.1 on one memory card and that boots on the Pi 3 but it won't boot on the Pi 3 B+

I have Raspbian on another card and that work on both units

Any ideas why the 3 B+ won't boot android 7.1.1 or how to fix it

Hi.

I would go to were ever you got the android image from and ask the question.

does this android 7.1.1 image work on the pi 3B+ I suspect you might find the answer is no.

the raspbian image you have that works is obviously a very recent on that has all the updates that allow both the pi 3B and pi3B+ to boot from it.

Edit.....
A quick google search suggests android 7.1.1 pre dates the release of the pi3B+ and only supports pi2 and pi3 not the plus

Thank you for the reply and the due diligence - I did a quick google but I guess I was not specific enough in my wording

Much appreciated
