First post here, my son beg me to build him a robot like sir killalot from robot wars.

So I buying Raspberry Pi3 as our first project that able to remote control base on his design of robot and my radio controller and 3D animations skills, that reason why I came here.

We can start at bottom, start with Lego, if successful then we can build bigger version. Base in my son design, the robot ‘feet’ is using my old radio controller car so it can go fast, and it weapons is a fist like Real Steel movie that using motion sensor so it can bashing everything under it. ( he was very creative!)

I would like to help him to achieve his target with my radio controller car parts ( I was retire pro racer in 1/10th radio controller touring racing ) so I have lots of spare part!

With my animator knowledge it’s possible to achieve a motion sensor biped robot with many device options and I was (and still use) using Kinect for motion capture. I done a research in google and lot of people have done robot arm motion using Kinect. Then it can be done.

My plan is same way as this but using Raspberry Pi 3 instead :-

I feel like I've read this several times over the last few months...

I'm not sure how animation skills can be used to drive servos which requires electronics and programming skills.
