Tue Apr 24, 2018 10:42 am

Hello!
I have searched for a bit on the internet but haven’t found anything useful. So I came here.
Can you run Adobe Photoshop on a Raspberry Pi 3? If yes how (tutorial on how to install aso)

Thank you!

Yes, and no.

Yes, you can with an x86 emulator so you can run x86 linux (very slowly) then run WINE on top of that. The result will be barely usable.

Or obviously you can run a Linux alternative to photoshop (the GIMP)

That's aside from the fact that you'd be violating the terms and conditions of your purchased PhotoShop licence.

Try an application called GIMP which is a Linux version of Photoshop, and equally a PITA to use.

sudo apt install gimp

Contrary to popular belief, humorous signatures are allowed. Here's an example...

I find GIMP easier to use than Photoshop. And it works pretty well on the Pi.
My mind is like a browser. 27 tabs are open, 9 aren't responding,
lots of pop-ups...and where is that annoying music coming from?

If you need to work primarily with digital photos (RAW import, HDR, HDF, perspective transforms etc.) then fotoxx may be worth a look.

https://kornelix.net/fotoxx/fotoxx.html

It's available as a (binary) package for gentoo-on-rpi3-64bit (v 18.01.3):

Code: Select all

[email protected] ~ $ sudo emerge -v media-gfx/fotoxx
I believe a 32-bit build of fotoxx is also available on Raspbian.

best, sakaki
