Power up problem

Fri Oct 26, 2012 1:47 pm

Hi guys, I'm new in the forums, recently I got a new Raspberry Pi and the external accesories, the flash has a bootable version of Debian. I connected the keyboard and mouse, a HDMI to VGA adapter, and of course the power supply (1A). When I connected it, nothing appeared on the screen and the OK led flashed. I would like to know what can be happening that it does not do anything. Please help me and thanks in advance.

It could be a number of things.

When you say the OK led flashed, was it a group of flashes which could mean that the booting has started but couldn't find one or more files, or was it a longer and more apparently random set of flashes that could mean the booting was successful?

It could be that the Pi has booted, but the HDMI-VGA adapter isn't showing the output, for a number of reasons.

I suggest you go to the Wiki (from the front page) and look at the trouble-shooting section
