Leap 42.3 & GPIO

My Python fan control script (working on UbuntuMate) won't run. Has anyone had any success with scripts and SUSE Leap?
I have loaded RPi-GPIO and the python libs but without effect. If you have scripts working what process did you follow?

Is there any error message from the python programm? If yes then copy the message here in the forum, thats the best what you can do first

You muss look for the python version is it an old python2 script or in python3? If you execute an python3 programm you musst execute with:
