Many thanks for your reply.

At the moment I'm in the process of moving my house round, then I will set the Pi up as a permanent desktop, using an old TFT tv, wireless keyboard & mouse.
Then I'll crack on with some sort of project, haven't decided what as yet.

  • What material are you using?
  • How did you cut it?
  • How is it bonded together?

The black material is FOAMEX.
It's basically heated, squeezed polystyrene.
It's quite strong, used for Signage backing.
Easy to cut, 'Stanley' knife does the trick.
I cut small pieces, and just glued the lot together (apart from the bottom which is screwed on, to gain access), with a hot glue gun.
The only downfall with it is, it's not heat resistant, so a hairdryer would warp it.
Comes in loads of colours too.
