Stretch Build, do I need..

Thu Feb 22, 2018 9:36 pm

I am looking at the Stretch img installed, and I see a number of things that I wonder if I need them for obvious to me reasons-
Android packages.
Other language (other than the one I am going to be using) packages for various components.
xfonts as with other lang..
yorick (seems like a game>)
yui - yahoo interface library
and so on.
thanks
bob

None of the things you mention are present in my stretch install.

Android, for example, is not even supported.

+1

That's not an official image.

Go to the link posted by fruitoftheloom and grab Raspbian Stretch Lite of you want a minimal OS (CLI only, but you can add a GUI if you want). The Desktop version does have a lot of extra stuff, mostly for use in Education (what the Raspberry Pi was designed for), but none of the stuff on your list.
My mind is like a browser. 27 tabs are open, 9 aren't responding,
lots of pop-ups...and where is that annoying music coming from?
