Knight rider like voice recognition with the PI3

Wed Feb 07, 2018 8:18 pm

Hello,

I'm pretty new to the Raspberry PI and i bought me one a few weeks ago. I'm currently working on a little project for my car and i'm looking for a way to translate what my site (got hacked this week and had to delete it) is doing to the raspberry PI. Does anyone have some tips on how to achieve this? I've looked everywhere but with no luck.

Just a short explanation of what it should do:
1. recognition of phrases obviously
2. when phrase recognised play an audio sample (mp3) from a folder which contains several audio samples and picks one at random.
3. While sample is playing stop listening and start listening when its done playing.
4. when nothing is said for about a minute it should play a sound sample from a specific folder at random.

ideally i would turn the key to power up the car and the raspberry starts booting up and opening the speech recognition program and starts listening. Hooking it up to the car and mic will not be a problem for me.

I hope someone can help me on this. Thanks in advance.

Greets,
J
