PiZero w usb problems: I want to enable the wifi,

hi, i brought the new raspberry pi zero w for this i have downloaded raspbian stretch.After that I want to connect my pi to the laptop(windows 10),so that I want to enable the wifi, for enabling the wifi I have made the wpa_supplicant.conf file and ssh file in the boot partion then I move the sd card to the pi and after this the ADVANCED IP SCANNER id not showing the the ip adress and then i tried to open puuty and enter "raspberrypi/pi@raspberrypi.local"(both) but it is saying that it doesn't exist after this i made changes in the cmd file and and conf file as given by the my users and make ssh file again then also it doesn't showing the ip adress of the pi.can anyone tell me whats the problem??is it hardware or software
or how can i solve it!!!!!!!

Start by posting the contents of your wpa_supplicant.conf file.

That works. I've done it a couple of times this morning on a ZeroW.
