Can't boot logged in as user pi without being prompted to enter password

Thu Jan 04, 2018 2:44 pm

In

Code: Select all

raspi-config -> 3 Boot Options -> B1 Desktop / CLI
I choose

Code: Select all

B4 Desktop Autologin
but on boot I'm prompted to enter the user password. How can this be omitted and have the Pi boot without entering the password?
