Zero W died

Thu Jan 04, 2018 9:09 am

My pi zero W has been working fine until this morning.
I plugged it in and nothing. The LED didn't flash and the chip gets very warm.
I unplugged it from the application and connected the HDMI up, tried to reboot but it seems to be completely dead.
Any ideas ?

Thanks

Steve

When you say "warm" is that too hot to touch very quickly.

If it is then your RPiZ is 100% dead and that's usually caused by GPIO abuse.

Not too hot to touch, but warmer than usual.
The only thing on the GPIO is a MotoZero board, which been working fine.

Then first move is a factory fresh SDCard, a copy of Raspbian 2017-11-29 and a copy of Etcher to write that to the card.

remove it and see if it boots OK with a fresh micro sdcard and latest raspbian
you may have killed it wiht some bad wiring on the MotoZero btu we'll never know
