Fast Forward on Pi zero works better than on my Pi 3

Sun Dec 31, 2017 11:14 am

Not sure if this is the experience of others. I have a couple of Zero's with, and without wifi. Both have OpenPHT (Rasplex) installed on them using fairly old 2Gb cards. The one thing I note is that apart from taking a lot longer than a Pi 3 to boot, the menu's and playback of plex is pretty much equal performance between Zero and 3.

Where it gets interesting is that with both zero's (one wifi one plugged in to ethernet via USB) fast forward and reverse actually works well at all speeds. With the Pi 3 (and a 2 I was using) you can't use FF above x4 and that is very stuttery and not really usable.

So either I'm doing something right with the zero's and something wrong with other Pi's or for some reason the Zero's work brilliantly as a Rasplex client.

Insterested in others experiences here.
