RB Pi 3 Active LED issue with Raspbian Stretch

Mon Dec 11, 2017 3:17 pm

Hi,
I noticed that the Active LED (green led on raspberry) stopped working on the Raspberry Pi 3 with Raspbian Stretch.
This problem was not with Raspbian Jessie and the green led highlighted the disk activities.

Is this an issue on Raspbian Stretch or something has changed? Do I have to activate something like dts?

Thanks in advance for your collaboration

I have no trouble with the green activity LED on any of my Pi computers running Stretch. That's quite an odd problem, and this is the first I've heard of it. Have you gone back and tested it with Jessie since you noticed the problem?
My mind is like a browser. 27 tabs are open, 9 aren't responding,
lots of pop-ups...and where is that annoying music coming from?

Can you confirm it works while booting (ie loading the kernel)?

Hi,
I confirm that the RBPi 3 boot correctly and that during the boot the act led does not light up (while loading the kernel).
I have this problem with three RBPi 3.

Today I have tested other two RBPi 3 and the ACT LED works correctly!
Most likely the first 3 Raspberry are faulty...

Could you post the revision code (from /proc/cpuinfo) of those that work vs the that don't? It's just possible that there is something wrong in the config.
