Case from RS does not allow proper HDMI connection

Sat Oct 13, 2012 12:32 pm

Hi,

I just received my RS-components raspberry-pi and cases.

Now the problem is that the HDMI connecter can't connect all the way...
Due to that there's no signal.
Once you remove the upper part of the case you can connect the HDMI connector fully and get a video signal.

Any idea about what to do or should I just grab my Dremel and fix it the old fashioned way?

Thank you,
Yoav.

Sounds like a fix the old fashion way, also all hdmi cables are not created equal.

+1 to the your cable might be a little too thick when compared to other HDMI cables, my solution would be to the "old fashioned" one

I just "old fashioned" my RS raspberrypi case :)
2 minutes with my Dremel and some dentist-like-noise and now the case is usable...

At first I thought that my R-Pi broke...
