i read in some website that the problem is not in the hub but it is in Linux...
Actually, the problem is with the hub. Some USB 3.0 hubs are not true USB hub devices and require additional drivers. It's best to stick with USB 2.0 hubs with the Raspberry Pi, as some USB 3.0 hubs can behave very poorly on the Pi.
I have one USB 3.0 hub that works fine, and another that not only doesn't work, it also disables the Pi's built-in USB ports when I try to use it, which forces me to pull the power to reboot, as I have no keyboard or mouse control, and disconnecting the hub does not restore function to the Pi's USB ports, and even SSH logins fail. However, that rather nasty failing one works fine on my Windows 10 PC.
The USB 3.0 hub fiasco reminds me of the old WinModem days.
Winmodem is a generic term for a modem that uses software in place of hardware for certain functions. In technical terms, winmodems lack an instruction processing chip called a controller; winmodems are also referred to as controllerless modems or host-based modems.
It now appears that some USB 3.0 hubs are "WinHubs" which lack the hardware needed to be a true hub.
My mind is like a browser. 27 tabs are open, 9 aren't responding,
lots of pop-ups...and where is that annoying music coming from?
