I have a raspberry pi 3 model b and is trying to install kali linux, but it doesnt seem to work HELP ASAP!!!!

I bought a raspberry pi 3 model b a couple of months ago and forgot about it, recently I installed raspbian and it worked perfectly so I thought to myself why not install Kali Linux?, I tried to install Kali Linux but nothing seems to work, I search up on how to fix the problem and nothing is helping me. I installed onto a 16GB EMTEC micro sd card and inserted it into the raspberry pi, I connect my Ethernet cable and power supply, the red LED turns on and also the green LED turns on flickers then turns off, the leds for the Ethernet are both on, but once I try to connect the HDMI to my monitor nothing pops up. someone please help! asap
