problem with VLC and usage of CPU 95%

Tue Nov 21, 2017 8:56 am

Hi to everyone!
I have a problem with my raspberry pi. I recently installed VLC media player because I wanted to make a streaming from a webcam. The problem is that when I try to make the streaming, the video, has delay and the CPU usage is about 95% because of VLC. I looked for some other media player but VLC seems to be the best one to make the streaming video. Any of you has an advice?

By default VLC does not support Hardware Acceleration, unless you have compiled the version as per this Post:

omxplayer is the default media player and if you need a fancy GUI then kweb offers one:

Hi and thank you for your reply.
I already did the Hardware Acceleration but i still have the same problem.
Now I tried to install "guvcview" but nothing changed: the usage of the CPU is still around 90%.
I don't know what else try.
