Bluetooth Handsfree Car Kit
Has anyone produced a Bluetooth Hands Free Car Kit using a Pi (one with built in Bluetooth) as my current car kit has just failed and this seemed an ideal solution.

When I was looking for handsfree set for my car I found company Avalon48 . They really helped me because they selected adequate equipment for me and they mounted set in my car and I think they really know what they're doing

If it's this Avalon48 https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/avalon48 then they're about 3,500 miles too far from Lancashire to be of any use to Mr. RDS.

There's an Avalon48 Ltd in Leicestershire (I think) who have a web page that says they do car electrical equipment like handsfree gear. Your Google-Fu is stronger than mine.
Getting a company to fit replacement type-approved equipment to a car is probably better than trying to hack something that is not type-approved with a Raspberry that could result in an MOT failure.
The UK and Europe's "road vehicles (construction and use)" regulations are there to ensure everything is safe to use while driving and fails safe.

Thank you all for your comments although I have no intention of getting anyone to fit a kit for me.
My existing one (a Nokia CK-1W) is an aftermarket kit, fitted by me a long time ago.
It just struck me that it will be some form of computing device in the main unit and I am sure the same functions could be provided by a Pi, if the various interfaces (speaker, remote button and microphone) were understood.
