VD (sort of :)

Mon Nov 06, 2017 2:20 am

I'm fairly sure I've tried this before, but here goes ...

I'd dearly like to be able to restore a session on power-up.
Linux allows multiple desktops - in fact it has a permanent case of VD - Virtual Desktops (even the default one is a 'virtual')! Is it possible to assign applications to specified desktops (of a number opened) in a script run at startup? Firefox, for instance, can restore pages/sites open at closedown. I'm hoping for something like that: something like
desktops:4
firefox :1
pcmanfm %U :2
amule :3
(4 VDs, apps on 3 of them). Pager on Panel, next to Main Menu ...

Hopeful ...
