Simultaneous audio input/output

Tue Oct 31, 2017 5:51 pm

Hello all! I've been working on a voice changer using the raspberry pi for some time now. After all my testing, I see that Sox is not the best solution as it always causes a delay between input and output. Is there any other software that can accomplish real-time audio while also changing my voice? Thanks!

I guess you can do that in Alsa, with some LADSPA plugins (or something more recent?).
Compared to sox it could be faster, but I don't think it's going to be as easy.
Audacity the interactive audio editor has the ability to load and apply ladspa plugins, so you could experiment comfortably.
(And again, it won't be simultaneous. There will be "some delay".)
