Building Rasberry pi transmitter for drones

Fri Oct 27, 2017 2:43 am

I have gotten a couple drones and i been trying to figure out how to communicate with them via a Rasberry pi. Does anybody know what i need to do to have a rasberrypi talk to a drone? the drone receiver is a flysky receiver in my drone.

HI.

flysky appears to be standard radio remote control for models operating on 2.4GHz so for your pi to communicate with your drone using this system you would need a suitable transmitter that operates on this frequency, sending signals of the correct type so that the receiver will respond to them.

I have no idea if such a thing exists or how you might go about building one a quick google search did no provide any leads.

Go to rczone.com

Find the multi-copter and diy electronics forums and read. Plenty of people have done similar projects ; basically you’ll need a fly sky RF module and programming to feed it the right signals.
