PiZeroW no Wifi or wont connect, no Network

I have a RaspberyPiZeroW I have formatted a memory card installed "Raspbian Stretch with desktop" via various tools recomended by the youtube video I followed. I am able to boot up and log into the GUI.

I have checked and setup the /ect/wpa_suplicant *.conf and it displays the right information.
I have rebooted the Pi and relogged in.

The error is that I can see the ssid and enter in the correct password, in the GUI.However it still looks like the network is down graphic on the toolbar. It does not change like I would expect it to, itstays the same. If I hover over the icon it just says "wlan0: Not associated"

What am I missing I cant even ping the router In a terminal I get "connect:Network is unreachable".

this is your 3rd post about your network trouble,

and if there is a problem with your router ...?whitelisted? what?
or your router need special login settings...
i can not help.

now this post is strange, i noticed that you talk about
-a- "setup the /ect/wpa_suplicant *.conf " ( possibly you edit it wrong / BUT NOT POST THE CONTENT HERE )
-b- and try but failed to login via GUI
i can only say that it does not work that way, usually use one way only.

if you have touched that file already,
from now on you not use the GUI for login, max for hold mouse over to see the status.
you edit the file in a terminal:
sudo nano /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
with that content:

ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=netdev
update_config=1

network={
        ssid="yourSSID"
        psk="yourPASSWORD"
        key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
}

or what i do with every setup:
copy that file wpa_supplicant.conf ( ready on my PC ) to the SD card (/boot/)
and RASPBIAN / NOOBS RASPBIAN will copy and use it.

I did not see the other questions go up, I had assumed that they had not passed the grade(approval by a mod)
perhaps they hold some valuable info if I can find them

I assume your in the us Iam uk so your code "country us" will be ok with country uk.

Many thnaks for getting back to me, it is weird that the Pi's dont show(on the router) I need them to try and get an ip
so that I can whitelist the ip. The Books that I have say do this and that but it all ends up with the same point's, and outcomes.

As the W is verry newish on the market I cant find much info SPECIFICALLY about how to set the W up iam
at a loss.

Crhomium was already installed but it cant browse the web...... Greif

as you not know what country you are from better use 'sudo raspi-config', there can set the correct country code,
for you possibly GB

stop talking this way about questionable resources, give us a link or a exact quote

usually you are online by a 'good' wpa_supplicant.conf file.

even i get the idea that now you have router issues what you need to fix,
there are some things you could do from a 'terminal' use following commands:
check the connection
ifconfig
look for name resolution problem
_____ping google.com
ping -c2 google.com
_____ping google nameserver
ping -c1 8.8.8.8
