PLASTIC LAMINATE METAL FINISH CASING...

I found this stuff called 'REYNOBOND' , but I'm sure there's many alternatives, the benefit of it is it can be scored and snapped by hand, without dangerous metal cutting machinery... two U shaped pieces and some internal right angle corners and here's the prototype look:-
