Solved: mmblk0 unknown error

Sometimes I have bought new SD cards only to find out that they are bad from the start.

Today I browsed the forum trying to find why a few SD cards give the error mmblk0 unknown error -22

The solution was very simple. The SD cards usually come with small adapters that allow you to insert the SD card in your laptop for writing the new image on the card. The reason for my failures was that many adapters are simply bad. By trying a few adapters I found one that worked perfectly.

So before you throw your bad SD card in the trash try another adapter.

I've also had these adaptors fail after working fine for months on end, I always keep a few spares now and if I get a card fail I always try a new adaptor before discarding the SD card.

I have probably replace my adaptor 2 or 3 times in a year, but I still don't know why they fail just seems to be totally random.
