Remote file transfer via dropbox

Fri Jul 21, 2017 7:48 am

Hello, I am trying to transfer files from my pi (remotely located) to my laptop via dropbox. I searched online and found that you have to buy a software that will make the pi support dropbox as in normal pc. However, as my project is low-cost i am need of a cost free product. Is there any out there? perrhaps already inbuilt in the OS itself? If there is how can i obtain it?
Thank you

How do you envision this transfer to work? Here is an example scenario:
You generate files on pi.
You expect the files to automatically upload to dropbox without you.
You access the files on your pc's dropbox.

As far as I know, there is no dropbox client for pi, which does the above scenario.

What you could do is to use python script to upload. It depends on how you generate the files you want to send to dropbox. Provide some details.

If I remember correctly, MegaSync have a client for Pi.
