use xbmc with an external hard drive

hi there,

im pretty new to xbmc but have installed it onton my PI. if anyone could help i would be greatly appreciated.

i have an external hard drive that i want to use to watch videos from using xbmc but the hard drive does not appear when i run xbmc.

i'm added my external drive to the fstab, so it gets mounted when i boot the RPi.

But perhaps you want to use udev for an automount when you plug in the drive:
