WebIOPi via Apache2 proxy with SSL (RaspberryPi 3)

Fri Jul 14, 2017 7:15 am

I have the WebIOPi well running on http://localhost:8000. I have an access to it from internet via my static IP address: http://11.22.33.44:8000 all right.

I also have Apache2 with self-signed certificate well running on http://localhost or https://localhost

What is the simplest way to change these two configuration files to reach the WebIOPi via URL https://localhost/webiopi/ ? I read and tried about everything (with sudo systemctl daemon-reload and sudo service apache2 restart in-between), but I cannot make it work.

----------------------------------000-default.conf---------------------------------------------------------------------
<VirtualHost *:80>
DocumentRoot /var/www/html
ErrorLog ${APACHE_LOG_DIR}/error.log
CustomLog ${APACHE_LOG_DIR}/access.log combined
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost *:443>
SSLEngine On
SSLCertificateFile /etc/ssl/localcerts/apache.pem
SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/ssl/localcerts/apache.key
</VirtualHost>
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------ports.conf---------------------------------------------------------------------
Listen 80

<IfModule ssl_module>
Listen 443
</IfModule>

<IfModule mod_gnutls.c>
Listen 443
</IfModule>

I have the same need, Apache for https, and webiopi to control gpio.
If you find any solution, please let me know. Thanks

Some time in the last two years lots of things changed. The one thing that didn't change is the complete lack of support for WebIOPi on here.

Support should be found here:
https://webiopi.trouch.com/
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/webiopi

I think

says it all.
