QEMU emulation of raspberry pi 3

Tue Jul 11, 2017 3:49 am

Hello,

If QEMU was to be used to emulate a rapsberry pi 3, then this would actually require some kind of BSP support to be done? Is my understanding correct?

regards, radiokk6

Only very recent versions of QEMU emulate the Raspberry Pi 2 or 3 properly.
Compile from source to actually use "raspi2" or "raspi3" boards instead of the ill-suited "versatilepb".

• Don't like the board ? Missing features ? Change to the prosilver theme ! You can find it in your settings.
• Don't like to search the forum BEFORE posting 'cos it's useless ? Try googling : yoursearchtermshere site:raspberrypi.org
