problem viewing photos

I've just got a pi and set up XBMC, which I am generally very pleased with. It streams music and videos fine from my ReadyNAS. However, when I try and view photos, it just locks up when I browse through the folders where my photos are stored. Any suggestions please?

Have managed to view some photos from the NAS on the Pi now. More by luck than judgement. Not sure if it's the number of photos in a folder causing a problem? Although I only have about 100 max (5MB typical file size). I've turned off the setting in XBMC to view videos in photo folders, and changed the view from thumbnail to list as I thought this may be an issue. Will play around some more and see if I can work out what the limitations are. As only one of my photo folders was ok. Seems strange though as streaming large video files or music works flawlessly.

Any more thoughts/ideas appreciated
