Calibration of raspberry pi 7 inch screen in portrait mode

Sat Jul 08, 2017 12:33 pm

Hello everyone!

I have just gotten into the Raspberry Pi and I purchased the 7 inch screen to use with it. I need the screen in portrait mode which was easy to to.

However, I am spending way longer then I should trying to calibrate the screen (X and Y axis), nothing seems to work from the sites I have tried to use:

viewtopic.php?f=91&t=78805

http://www.circuitbasics.com/raspberry- ... -rotation/

Basically i can install xinput (only locally though, I cant install it though putty).

When I try and xinput set-prop 8 "Evdev Axes Swap" 1 I get an error:

property 'Evdav Axes Swap' doesn't exist, you need to specify its type and format

I am running the newest version of xserver and when I remote in and type xserver its saying its unable to connect.

Any Help would be appreciated, this has delayed me from other things for days =(
