Mail Server Dovecot and Postfix

Sun Jun 11, 2017 1:43 pm

Hi everyone !!

I've installed a mail server on my rasp with dovecot, postfix, SASL,... and everything goes quit fine, I say quite because I still received the mail I've deleted...

I've installed an imap server, I have my own domain but on my phone or on thunderbird, when I delete a mail, it must remain on the rasp (IMAP feature) but not on my equipment. If I refresh, it comes back again on my phone and thunderbird and I don't no why.

Any idea ?

Thanks you for any return : )

Have you set Thunderbird correctly to delete emails?
Open Thunderbird.
Select (highlight) your account name. (Left column)
Under Accounts, select "View settings for this account".
Select "Server Settings".
Is "Leave messages on server" selected?

Hi surferTim and thanks for your answer,

Yes I check everything.
I try those 3 options :
First : Send deleted email to trash : This one send the email to the trash and another copy arrive in my inbox. If I deleted it 3 times, it come back to my inbox and appear into trash 3 times...
Second : Mark the email as delete. This one let the email without sending it to trash but cross every mail in red who stay in my inbox
Third : Delete mail but they still come back

They definitly want to stay in my inbox

You should check the log file. Maybe that will help you troubleshoot this.
