Wifi Woes

Wed Jun 07, 2017 4:30 pm

I've been using my pi 3 with recalbox and have had no problems. I booted it up today and noticed it wasn't connecting to wifi. I swapped my sd card with a raspbian boot and saw that it isn't detecting a wireless interface. I did a fresh install and still nothing, bluetooth works fine. Since i used differents boots is it safe to say that its a hardware not a software problem? thanks..

I have 3 pi 3's, one of which has a non-functional wifi, Bluetooth is still working. I have seen several posts on this and I think it may be static that zapped the wifi portion of the chip. It worked for a week or two when I got it and died when I moved it to a permanent metal enclosure. I was intending to use a dongle anyway with that one...
