WIFI - best way?

Fri Jun 02, 2017 3:58 pm

Hi guys!

My Pi was mostly stationary until recent time, so /etc/network/interfaces was enough.
Now I carry it with me and need more portability.

Could you advise the best way to have it remember multiple networks? Just like your smartphone does?
Raspbian's internal network manager is a total disaster.

I'd like to have it remember unlimited number of BSSID's, 2 adapters (builtin and my ALFA), and
pick the strongest signal whenever in range.

So, WICD, or is there any better?

It doesn't meet all your wishes but have a look at the last section of https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... ess-cli.md
