external microsd card support

Thu Jun 01, 2017 11:31 am

Hello,
I want to know if it is possible to read the files like music, videos which are stored in an SD card. I am using Raspberry PI 3 which have usb ports, so like connecting a mobile device to computer, can i use the pi in place of computer or laptop. through microsd reader module or through usb ports?
Thanks in advance

Yes you can attach a USB card reader or USB 'thumb' drive or USB hard drive etc.
Be sure to use the eject button on the task bar before removing any media from a running system.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated RPiOS Buster w/ Desktop OS.
