Scheduled tasks

Wed May 31, 2017 10:36 pm

I saw a how-to and installed, under menu, system tools, a 'Scheduled tasks' manager. Nice to setup, thanks. Do I have to leave that app running or can I exit it by closing the window in the top taskbar and leave it to run as listed, please? The app's script was made executable and moved to /usr/local/bin before using the Scheduled Tasks manager. I really prefer not to get up at 1.00am to find out if I can avoid it.

Why not schedule it to run something trivial just 5 minutes into the future as a test?

Why not, indeed.
