Lightweight web-browser for Pi??

Thu May 25, 2017 9:12 pm

Hi,
I'm really struggling with using chromium-browser for youtube.com/tv or other websites I made(for personal use).

What's a lightweight web browser for the Pi?Nothing extreme.
If possible I would prefer it to have fullscreen mode(my websites run in fullscreen mode) and even better if that full screen mode could be triggered from terminal eg for chromium it would be `chromium-browser --kiosk mySite`.
Please leave any suggestions(with or without full screen mode).
Thanks in advance :)

PS I've been using Linux for years now but I always used chromium or Firefox so I'm not familiar with web-browsers on Linux. :(

Chromium is best, really.

Just tweak your RPi to max, btw which RPi you use?

It's the Zero W so I don't think there's much I can do
btw in case I didn't made it clear : I don't care about features like extensions, history, downloads etc etc I'm looking for a browser with significant performance

I was impressed with Fifth on a Pi3.
Don't remember if I tested it on a Zero

I'm guessing there's no ppa for fifth ... I'm having a hard time finding the arm version :?

In Raspbian Jessie you use apt-get to install links2

I believe the syntax is links2 -g

Maybe also try: https://www.uzbl.org/
