Hi all, I am experiencing an issue, which likely has quite easy solution, however i was not able to find it on the forums. I have a RPi Zero (not wireless model) that i want to connect to the internet. To do this, i use a powered Kensington USB hub that has Ethernet port. The hub is connected to my router. The problem is that nothing happens when i connect this hub to the USB port of RPi Zero. There is no internet on the Pi, and it seems like the pi is acting as a USB device (not sure if that's even possible).
The whole setup is definitely working, since when i connect this hub to my second RPi, which is a Zero W model - it gets wired internet straight away (wifi is switched off, so i am 100% sure this is wired internet through the hub).
The RPi Zero (not wireless) just arrived yesterday, and the USB port on it is definitely working, i can successfully plug the keyboard into it. I've installed Libreelec on it, however, first i tried the NOOBS Lite install, but was not able to download Raspbian or any other OS since there was no internet through the hub.
Also I've noticed that when i plug my RPi Zero W to the hub - everything works fine, and no additional light on the hub light up. However, when i plug it in RPi Zero (not wireless) a green USB logo lights up on the front panel of the hub, kind of indicating that the USB device is attached.
I believe there should be an easy solution to this, probably involving modifying the config.txt file? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!
