virtual machine cluster

Mon Sep 24, 2012 2:06 am

Hi guys

Given how it is possible to cluster the pi's and given how it is possible to run virtual windows 7, is it possible to build a a cluster of Pi's with the master node running a virtualised windows 7 meaning a fast computer that runs windows 7?

Any thoughts? Maybe even the same but with Chrome OS etc?

Cheers

AFAIK there is nothing that will run an OS over multiple nodes(there is to much lag).
And it would cost less to just buy something that will run windows7/8/etc.
people do have older versions of windows running on the rpi though.

Yeah , there is NOTHING like this available.
Not even in research. Why ? Becuase the ONLY market would be consumers.
Research , Goverments and Businesses have a million better , much more tested and more expensive solutions
at hand. (Scalable virtualization technologies on a serverfarm and other IaaS )
And even then for consumers would be a new market to create with risks not to underestimate.
