Here is a build for an Internet of Thing developer board I have been working on with my daughters:

It is a cheap-as-possible project to make a little developer station.
We recently added a microscope soldering station using a program called guvcview to view the USB microscope.

The program installs easily on the Pi with:

And then it shows up in your Start Menu.
