Shock resistance of the Raspberry Pi

Hi everyone,

does anyone know how shock resistant the Raspberry Pi is? I would like to conduct experiments where a deceleration of up to 20g might act on my framework in which a raspberry pi will sit to take measurements. Can it handle the deceleration? Thank you for your help!

I don't see any reason why not. 20g is rather small. If you were getting transients of 100g or more then I would have more concern. The one issue you might have is the plugs and sockets momentarily disconnecting or becoming stressed from repeated flexing. So I would tie down all the cables so that they can't move to the same platform that the Pi is attached to.

Make sure that the SD card is held in securely. Some tape might be useful.
