Music Playing OS?

Sun Apr 02, 2017 10:44 pm

Hello this is my first post on this great site.

I have had a Raspberry Pi 3 Model b for a few weeks now and have decided that I want to turn another one into a Music System, I am going for just a simple system using the 3.5mm jack out to stereo speakers (maybe think about a DAC in the future)!

I don't want to go the headless route, so I want an Operating System with a very good music player that supports the jack out or preferably a music player that is it's OWN bootable Operating System and I would prefer to stay away from Kodi and the like.

I would also like to use this on a small TFT touchscreen if possible, so something that is scale-able would be great.

If anybody could point me in the right direction that would be great.

That is an absolutely fantastic recommendation, just what I was looking for.

Thanx a million.
