Board Schematic

Sat Apr 01, 2017 9:56 am

Hi everyone.

I wonder if RPF will release schematic of the board used in this display.
We have a number of Toshiba IC's and we wonder if it's possible to use them.

Unfortunately, dimensions of the official one don't fit in out project.

Is there a way to achieve that?

Thanks.

Hasn't happened in the last 5 years - probably won't happen this century.

May I ask Foundation officials to respond?

moderator here, (not a foundation official, just a volunteer).
May I ask what you are planning to do, as it sounds like you are trying to reverse engineer the LCD, which is obviously not something the RPF wants.

Generally the RPF does NOT publish full schematics of their designs, as it is NOT open hardware.
The last time they published full schematics was in 2013 for the PI model 1.

you are wasting your time asking for this in a public forum, so locking, in the very unlikely case some "foundation official" wants to add a reply they have the power to unlock this thread.

Foundation engineer here. It is extremely unlikely that the schematic will be released.
