I've installed the Cantab screensaver, and really enjoy the views of Cambridge. I also have Trinity Bridge as a Background. The 'polemen' (is there a proper term for that?) remind me of a friend who did that on the Avon in Christchurch 'way back when ...
Problem arises when I leave thePi3 running unattended for a while; there's a complete freeze with the view still and input ineffective - brute-force power-off and back on is the only recourse. Is anyone else experiencing this? The installation itself doesn't seem to have disturbed anything else; with screensaver disabled all runs fine.
